thinking of buying a new receiver for a series of questions about stereo components?

I was thinking of buying a new receiver and I think style have settled in the new Pioneer VSX-1120-K its not out yet, but seems to be what I want, but I really am just going to use to play the music I was wondering if I could get an additional power stereo amplifier for a new style receiver and if so what? or should I go to the classical way and buy components vitage prior to build, be aware that this is more for the music of movies I saw and found a larger company receptor called dealer that seemed liked components are very nice but is there a better company for a reasonable price as a dealer?

If you are only using the receiver to play music, then why would you want a 7.1 home receiver theater? You could end up paying for a lot of things that are not being used.
